T Boone Pickens walks up to the table, tells it like it is, and throws down his chips. Now how about the "its all speculation" politicians, the "Peak oil is only a theory" pundits, the "more domestic drilling will fix everything" folks, and the "there is no oil shortage OPEC deluded" doing the same?
We won't see any bets because none of these people believes the words coming out of there own mouths. Its all just nonsense to make people feel better, to make them think someone is doing something. When they avoid dealing with the real emergency facing this country and the world.
Who should we believe an oil man whose betting it all on the end of the oil age? Or people spouting platitudes that any college freshman in economics 101 know are utter nonsense?
Lets get to business and start getting off oil. Not some promise to talk about it in 2050, it needs to be now, by 2050 we will be lucky to have 1/2 the oil supply available that we do right now!
